DayZ servers are live on GameGrid
You can now run your own DayZ server on GameGrid. Pick a plan, and your server installs the current DayZ server build, starts with BattlEye on, and is ready for players in minutes. Everything below is managed from the same control panel you already use for our other games.
All three maps
Every server comes with Chernarus, Livonia and Sakhal. Switch maps with the mission setting in the Settings tab. Each map keeps its own persistence, so trying another map does not wipe the world you built. Livonia is free for every DayZ owner; Sakhal needs the Frostline DLC on each player's account.
Steam Workshop mods from the panel
Search the Steam Workshop from the Mods tab and install with one click. GameGrid copies each mod's signing keys into your server for you, loads mods in the order you set (put frameworks such as Community Framework first), and marks each one Client & server or Server only so you know what your players need. Players pick up the same mods through the DZSA Launcher or by subscribing on the Workshop. Mod changes apply at the next restart.
A settings editor that explains itself
The Settings tab covers serverDZ.cfg and gameplay settings in grouped sections with dropdowns and a tip on every option: server name and password, player slots, time and night speed, third-person and crosshair, base building, stamina and more. Your ban list, whitelist and login-queue priority list are edited from the panel too.
BattlEye RCon console and scheduled messages
The Console tab talks to your server over BattlEye RCon: list players, send messages to everyone, kick, ban and lock the server. RCon listens only on the server's own machine, and player IP addresses are masked in the panel. The Command Manager can schedule messages, such as a restart countdown or rotating server rules, and keeps a history of every reply.
Clean restarts and backups
Stop and Restart shut DayZ down with BattlEye's #shutdown, so the world is saved before the server exits, and a server that goes down unexpectedly is started again automatically. Automatic Daily Restart restarts a quiet server while nobody is online. Automatic daily backups go to cloud storage, and you can take a manual backup at any time from the Backups tab.
Automation
DayZ servers work with the GameGrid Customer API, so your own tools can read the player list and server state and send messages to everyone online.
Get started
DayZ is in our Main plan group, so any slot on a Main plan can run it at no extra cost: delete a server and create DayZ in its slot. New to DayZ hosting? Our Knowledge Base has DayZ guides for connecting, mods, settings, restarts and wipes.
