GameGrid for studios
Studio Documentation
How GameGrid hosts your game's dedicated servers: the hardware, the fleet tools, the API and the controls your team gets. Everything here describes what the platform does today.
Start here
- What GameGrid offers studiosGameGrid runs your game's dedicated servers on Windows hardware that belongs to your organization alone, and gives your team a control panel and a complete API to deploy, operate and observe them.
- Getting startedThere is no public sign-up for studios. Your organization is set up with GameGrid, and your first Owner receives an invitation to sign in.
Platform
- Hosting and hardwareYour servers run on Windows hosts that belong to your organization alone. Rent hardware from GameGrid, or bring a machine of your own and onboard it with us.
- Fleets: groups, servers and deploysA group is a named fleet of servers running one game on your hosts. You deploy, start, stop, restart and scale a group as a unit, and still reach every server in it individually.
- Games, builds and releasesGameGrid has no fixed catalogue of games. You describe your own dedicated server once, in a game definition, and add builds of it as versions you can promote and roll out.
- ConfigurationKeep your servers' configuration as versioned templates, see exactly what each server would receive, and find out when a host's files no longer match.
- Backups and restoreBack up the save folders your game definition declares, on demand or on a schedule, and restore a server in place with an automatic safety copy.
Operations
- Monitoring, logs and alertsSee how your hosts and servers are doing, search their logs, scrape metrics into your own tools, and get told when something needs attention.
- Remote accessWhen you need to get onto a host, you can use one-time Remote Desktop credentials, a browser terminal, SFTP, or the file manager in the studio app.
Integrate
- Studio API and API keysEverything your team does in the studio app can be automated through the studio API. Access is by account only: every call is made with a signed-in session or an API key your organization issued.
- WebhooksWebhooks tell your own systems when something happens in your fleet. Every delivery is signed, retried on failure and recorded.
Account and trust
- Accounts, security and complianceYour organization controls who can sign in, how, and what each person may do, and every action is recorded in an audit log you can read and export.
- SupportYour team opens support tickets from the studio app, and every member of your organization can follow and reply to them.
