Invoices and Receipts
Every card payment has a Stripe invoice you can download from the Billing page. A renewal, extra slots or new plan paid wholly from account credit has a GameGrid receipt instead.
Where to Find Them
On the Billing page, the "Invoices and receipts" section lists your invoices, newest first, ten at a time. They are also in Stripe's billing portal: click "Manage payment method" on the same page. Both list the same invoices.
What an Invoice Is
Our payment provider, Stripe, issues and numbers an invoice for every card payment: a new plan, a monthly renewal, a one-time renewal and extra slots, one-time purchases included. The invoice shows the tax or VAT. For customers in the EU and the UK prices include VAT; elsewhere sales tax is added where it applies.
Each row shows the date, the invoice number, what it was for, the amount you paid, tax included (with the tax inside it, for example "incl. $1.22 sales tax" or "incl. $4.00 VAT", or "no tax") and its status. An open invoice has a "Pay on Stripe" button that opens Stripe's page for it.
Paid from Account Credit
A renewal, extra slots or a new one-time plan paid wholly from your account credit charges no card, so Stripe issues no invoice. The list shows it as "Paid from credit" with the amount and the tax (a new plan reads "Purchase of" and the plan's name). "Details" shows what it paid for, and "Download receipt" gives you a GameGrid receipt (PDF). It is a receipt, not an invoice.
When credit pays first and your card pays the rest, the Stripe invoice covers the card part, and the list shows the credit part beside it, for example "Card $15.98 + credit $10.00".
Days Added by Support
If something went wrong with your service, support may add days to your plan to make up for it. Nothing is charged for added days, and we email you when it happens.
- A one-time plan is paid until the new date.
- A monthly plan's next payment moves to the new date, and it then renews monthly from that day. Nothing is charged on the old date.
For a monthly plan, the invoice list shows the added days as an invoice of $0 called "Days added (no charge)". Stripe's own copy of it may be worded "Free trial"; that is only Stripe's wording for the extra days, not a trial and not a charge. Your plan keeps showing as Active.
Refunds
Where Stripe issues a credit note for a refund, it is listed under its invoice with its own PDF.
Downloading
"Download PDF" opens a copy of the invoice that we keep. The link works for a few minutes; click the button again any time for a new one. If an invoice was issued a moment ago, its PDF may still be being prepared: try again in a few minutes.
Who Can See Invoices
The account owner, administrators and billing managers of the account. You only ever see your own account's invoices.
Support
A support session started from one of your tickets can see invoices only when it includes billing access.
By Email
Stripe's invoice and receipt emails include the PDF. The GameGrid receipt for a payment made wholly from credit is not emailed; it is in the list.
