Palworld Server Not Showing in Community List
Why your server doesn't appear in the in-game browser and how to fix it.
How the Community List Works
Palworld's community server browser is fed by the game's master server list. Your server registers itself at startup through its Steam query port, which GameGrid allocates at your base port + 1 and opens for you.
Registration takes several minutes after a start. If you have just started the server, wait before searching for it.
The community browser only displays the first 200 servers. If there are more than 200 servers registered, yours might not appear even if everything is configured correctly. This is a known Palworld limitation.
Common Causes
Server just started: wait several minutes for registration. This is the most common cause by a wide margin.
Server not fully started: it must be Online, not "Starting". Check the status in your dashboard.
Server name has unusual characters: some do not display well in the browser. Use plain text and numbers. The Server Name field rejects quotes and line breaks and caps at 100 characters.
The -publiclobby flag is NOT a cause on GameGrid. The platform passes it, together with the host's current public IP and your allocated port, on every single start. There is no listing switch in Settings, so there is nothing for you to have left off.
The Steam query port is NOT a cause either. It is allocated at your base port + 1 and opened by the platform.
A stale public IP is not a cause here. The host agent rewrites it to the host's current address on every start, so a server that has been moved to another node corrects itself rather than advertising the old one.
Using Direct IP as a Workaround
If your server does not appear in the community list, connecting by address always works for Steam and Mac players. Take the Server Address from Connection Info on the server Overview tab and share it.
Players enter it in the text field at the bottom of the "Join Multiplayer Game (Dedicated Server)" screen. This bypasses the community browser entirely.
Make sure Mac is still ticked in Crossplay Platforms if you have Mac players - all four platforms are allowed by default, but a refused connection can look like a listing problem.
For Xbox and PS5 players, who cannot type an address, the community list is the only option. Restart the server and wait the full ten minutes.
When to Contact Support
If your server has been running for 15+ minutes, has a plain-text name, and still does not appear, open a support ticket. Include the server name, the Server Address, and the time you started it.
If connecting by address works but the community list does not, the problem is with master-server registration rather than with your configuration - there is nothing in the panel you could have set wrongly. It is usually temporary.
