Windrose Plus Player Stats Configuration

Customize base player health, stamina, posture, armor, carry weight, and corruption resistance on your Windrose server.

Overview

Windrose Plus lets you customize base player attributes. These are absolute values, not multipliers - you set the exact number for each stat.

Player stats are configured from the Windrose Plus tab under the "Player Stats" section. Changes require a server restart (PAK rebuild).

These settings affect all players equally. They set the base values before any in-game bonuses from gear, talents, or buffs are applied.

Health and Stamina

Max Health (default 320): Maximum health points. Range: 1 to 99,999. Increase for a more forgiving combat experience, decrease for a harder souls-like difficulty.

Max Stamina (default 150): Maximum stamina for sprinting, attacking, and dodging. Range: 1 to 99,999. Higher values mean players can perform more actions before exhausting.

Stamina Regen Rate (default 40): How fast stamina regenerates per tick. Range: 0 to 999. Higher values mean faster stamina recovery.

Passive HP Regen (default 0): Passive health regeneration per tick. 0 = disabled. Range: 0 to 999. Set above 0 to allow slow health regen without resting.

Posture and Defense

Max Posture (default 40): Maximum posture (stagger bar). When posture is depleted, the player is staggered. Range: 1 to 999. Higher values mean players can absorb more hits before being staggered.

Posture Regen Rate (default 20): How fast posture regenerates per tick. Range: 0 to 999.

Stagger Defence (default 3): Base stagger defence value. Higher values reduce the effectiveness of enemy stagger attacks. Range: 0 to 999.

Armor (default 0): Base armor value (damage reduction). Range: 0 to 999. This is the base armor before gear bonuses. Set above 0 to give players inherent damage reduction.

Defence Power (default 90): Base defence power. Range: 0 to 999. Affects overall defensive capability.

Carry Weight and Corruption

Max Carry Weight (default 99,999): Absolute carry weight limit. This is a hard cap, not a multiplier. Range: 1 to 999,999. The default is effectively unlimited - lower it for a more realistic encumbrance system.

Max Corruption Resistance (default 0.65): Maximum resistance to corruption status buildup. Range: 0.0 to 1.0. Higher values mean players resist corruption effects longer. Corruption is associated with certain biomes (such as the swamp).

Recommended Configurations

Casual/Friendly server: Increase Max Health to 500, Max Stamina to 250, enable Passive HP Regen at 5. This makes combat more forgiving and reduces downtime.

Hardcore/Souls-like server: Decrease Max Health to 200, Max Stamina to 100, keep Passive HP Regen at 0. This makes combat more punishing and closer to the default Windrose difficulty.

Building-focused server: Increase Max Carry Weight from 99,999 (the default) to 999,999, increase Max Stamina to 300 for less downtime while gathering and building.

Always test changes with a small group before inviting your full player base, as stat changes significantly affect game balance.

Applying Changes

Player stat changes require a server restart (PAK rebuild). After pressing "Save Changes" on the Windrose Plus tab — the panel confirms with "Restart the server to apply changes (PAK rebuild required).":

1. Restart the server.

2. The PAK rebuild takes 1 to 3 minutes during startup.

3. Once online, all players will have the new base stats.

Note: Existing characters will have their base stats updated. However, if a player has talents or gear that add to a stat, the total will be base + bonuses. The base is what you configure here.
