Swap Games - Switch Between Games on Your Subscription
Switch between any games in your plan group at no extra cost, by deleting the server in a slot and creating a new one in it. Your subscription, billing cycle, and payment method stay the same.
How Changing a Slot’s Game Works
A slot in your Server Bundle is not tied to a game. You can run any game in your plan group in it, and change which one at any time, without a new subscription and without paying anything extra.
There is no in-place "swap" button, and nothing converts one game into another. Changing the game means deleting the server that is in the slot and creating a new one in the freed slot with the game you want. The dashboard says as much when a bundle is full: "All slots in use - delete a server to switch games".
Your subscription, billing cycle, slot count and payment method are untouched by any of this. Deleting a server frees its slot; it does not cancel or refund anything.
Plan Groups
Every bundle belongs to a game group, and only the games in that group can be created in its slots. The Create New Server page names the group and says so: "Only games in your <group> group are shown. You can switch between these games anytime."
The games in each group may change as we add new titles — the dropdown on that page is always the current list.
Moving to a different group means a different plan. There is no way to move a bundle from one group to another from the panel; open a support ticket if that is what you need.
What Happens When You Delete and Recreate
Deleting the server does all of this, in order: it stops the game and removes the whole instance directory from the host — game files, saves, logs, configuration and mods — releases its port block, removes its FTP/SFTP account and its firewall rules, and frees the bundle slot.
Creating the replacement then reserves capacity, assigns a fresh port block, downloads the new game’s server files, writes that game’s default settings and leaves the server stopped so you can configure it before anyone joins. The state goes draft, then provisioning, then stopped.
How long the download takes depends entirely on the game. Nothing starts the new server for you — press Start in the status bar when you are ready.
The new server gets a new port block, so its address is not the old one. Take the address from the Overview tab and give players the new one.
Data Preservation
Deleting a server deletes its files from the host. It cannot be undone, and the confirmation dialog says so.
Its backups do not come back with it either. Backups belong to the server that made them, and a server you delete is gone from the panel — so the new server you create in the same slot starts with an empty Backups tab and no way to reach the old server’s backups.
So if there is anything you want to keep, copy it off the server BEFORE you delete it. FTP/SFTP is the way to do that: the host, ports, username and password are on the Overview tab, and the world folder is wherever your game keeps it (see that game’s save-file-location article).
A backup from one game could not be restored into a different game in any case — the file layouts have nothing in common. Keeping a copy is about being able to rebuild the old server later, not about restoring it into the new one.
How to Do It, Step by Step
1. Copy anything you want to keep off the server over FTP/SFTP.
2. On the Dashboard, find the server’s card inside its plan and click "Delete". Confirm the dialog — it tells you the slot will be freed and that this cannot be undone.
3. The plan now shows a free slot and a "+ Add Server" button. Click it.
4. Pick the new game from the Game dropdown, give the server a name, and click "Create Server".
5. Watch the card on the Dashboard. It reads "Your server is being provisioned..." while the files download, then settles as stopped. Adjust anything you want on the Settings tab, then press Start.
If there is no Delete button on the card, your account role does not carry the delete permission — the account owner can do it, or open a support ticket.
